What in the world is going on?

Holy Criekies!

So I spent about 7 hours in Corvallis on Saturday at a Scrapbook workshop. It was nice to get a chance to work with friends who enjoy scrapping as much as I do, and to not have kids bugging me saying... but mom, can't you do... But what was with that weather?

I had to run out to the car to grab a catalog for someone, and it started hailing on me five steps out the door. I got pelted and the ground was covered white in about two minutes. I had to go back out again (like an hour later) and I came back in and Becca said I had the worst luck with that. The third trip out, I was prepared to get pelted, and it was nice, it let me get my stuff in the back of the Durango before it dumped... but then, it came down really hard.

I woke up Sunday morning and looked out the window at 8:00 and there was an inch of snow on the grass. Hello! It is the MIDDLE OF APRIL! and we are in OREGON, the WILLAMETTE VALLEY... Snow doesn't belong on the Valley floor at any time in April. You are killing my flowers, and I finally planted (well, loving husband Andy planted for me, but I bought) sunflowers for my own yard, so that I could have beautiful fresh cut sunflowers all summer... I am so bumbed :(

So, this weather is just boggling my mind, and I don't know exactly what to do other than to forget that it is April and continue to hide under my covers... the sun will come out, eventually! It really really will... if not before, in July when I am in LA!

I'm so thankful I was in San Francisco and missed all this weather crap. I heard snow, hail, rain...it's like, "Ok, who keeps turning the switch on and off up there!?" It's one of those sick jokes that never die, I swear.
