OUCH - I hurt!
It's true, I have busted a vertebra in my back. Oh the pain! Who knows how I do these crazy things. But what I can say is that I'm me, and what did you expect? Now I have to focus on healing...! This means taking time off of work. Oh dear, my boss is going to kill me... but she'll have to understand.
My pal Levi isn't exactly having a great run of it either. He's been taking things day by day with his battle with cancer. Last week he had his first chemo treatment, and my thoughts have been going his way. He and I have a mutual friend who we call "Little Brother." Between me, Little Brother, and Levi, we keep each other up to date on what is going on between home and work.
My daughters are as busy as ever with their school activities. Oh when will this madness end? Maybe when they're 18? HAAAAH!
That's all I have for you now, but I will let you know how the healing goes! Over and out...

What in the world is going on?
Holy Criekies!
So I spent about 7 hours in Corvallis on Saturday at a Scrapbook workshop. It was nice to get a chance to work with friends who enjoy scrapping as much as I do, and to not have kids bugging me saying... but mom, can't you do... But what was with that weather?
I had to run out to the car to grab a catalog for someone, and it started hailing on me five steps out the door. I got pelted and the ground was covered white in about two minutes. I had to go back out again (like an hour later) and I came back in and Becca said I had the worst luck with that. The third trip out, I was prepared to get pelted, and it was nice, it let me get my stuff in the back of the Durango before it dumped... but then, it came down really hard.
I woke up Sunday morning and looked out the window at 8:00 and there was an inch of snow on the grass. Hello! It is the MIDDLE OF APRIL! and we are in OREGON, the WILLAMETTE VALLEY... Snow doesn't belong on the Valley floor at any time in April. You are killing my flowers, and I finally planted (well, loving husband Andy planted for me, but I bought) sunflowers for my own yard, so that I could have beautiful fresh cut sunflowers all summer... I am so bumbed :(
So, this weather is just boggling my mind, and I don't know exactly what to do other than to forget that it is April and continue to hide under my covers... the sun will come out, eventually! It really really will... if not before, in July when I am in LA!

My crazy little world
So I am working hard to get everything done, and I think it is making me a little nutty... Though very entertaining for some of those around me. I have had down time this week, and it is driving me so nuts, that I asked if I could work some overtime. What is wrong with me? I can't take a week of nothing to do in the evenings. I have to ask if I can bring work home with me so that I can warp my mind a little more.
This is the busiest time of year for me at the office, doing QC (that is Quality Control for those of you who don't like alphabet soup :)) And I am once again reviewing fatal files and comparing them to our federal program to ensure accuracy. What is wrong with me, I find this to be most fascinating. My husband thinks I am a nut. I was talking to him about some pictures I was looking at and described to him what was going on, and he asked if there was any way I could do the job without looking at the photos, (I think I was making him sick with my description)... the thing is, I don't have to look at the photos... I WANT TO! They are most fascinating... really!
So I got to our counseling appointment about five minutes before Andy and I told her about the photo conversation, and she was with me... she would be fascinated and want to look at the pictures, while her husband would think she was nuts... Must run in the psychology field... she was one of my teachers at Corban after all.
So I made a new friend at work, and I gave him the link to my blog, so I have to write something about Levi... Levi is my new Buddy! And I love Levi... I make him laugh, because of my warped little mind... Tami, the Pooh farting Bubbles has morphed, and on Levi's window to his cubical, I drew him a picture of a Bunny farting harts. Why is the bunny farting hearts??? I don't know, but it made me laugh, so poor Levi has had to deal with heart farting bunny pictures for the past couple of weeks.
I also drew him a picture of a weeble or a warm fuzzy as Laura called it, but he is to young to remember them... the were little cotton puffs on feet that had a tag sticking out like a tale that had a warm fuzzy message on it... it had two eyes and often came with antanas on top of it's head as well... If only I could find a picture of one for him... some day, it will happen! But not today, because I really should be working, but I felt that I needed to add a post for those of you who actually view this thing.
Hope you all are having a wonderful week! Love to ya'll

Keeping in touch
Something I have been really bad about lately is keeping in touch. I am so stinking busy with not being able to say no, that I tend to lose touch with the important things... like my friends!
Thank you Tami for being such a good communicator, if it weren't for you, I think you would just be a memory from five years ago... and I am super glad that isn't reality!
So here is a quick run down of what has been going on...
I am entering my busy time at work, and I am having a real bad attitude of not wanting to be in my office, ever! So I am finding all sorts of reasons to not go in... I have been working at home the last two days, and I Have gotten SO MUCH work done. I wish I could do it more often, but I think that I will be strapped to my desk for the next six weeks. My favorite time of year (Eyes are rolling!) End of year file processes include lots of QC... the good thing is, I get to be super ANAL and I am getting paid to do it! That really is a good thing.
My husband and I are finally coming to an understanding of each other... He realizes that I am super anal, and he gets a kick out of it. We went to the grocery store tonight, and he started to help me unload the groceries, and I started to correct him on how he was unloading it... he said he was going to stop helping me, and let me be as anal as I wanted... then he and the clerk started laughing at me. They got quite a kick out of my need for everything to be just so! Andy asked if he should just back off and let me bag everything too... Yes please! and thank you for accepting that I am just that weird... But the cans and boxes have to go at the front of the belt so that I can build bases at the bottom of the bags! Then you add the floppy things, like noodles and bagged cereal. And of course, not all of the gallons of milk need to go on the belt, only one, and tell him how many you are buying. Then there is the fact that the bread has to go at the end... which the clerk agreed with Andy on and he told me that he was so good that even if the bread was the first thing on the belt, he wouldn't squish it... but now, I am totally busting up. When you are as weird and picky as me, you have to learn to laugh at yourself, really! And it is ok, I am glad that I was able to entertain them for a while.
So Child number one got her cell phone taken away today, because she has personally used aver 1000 minutes this month. Would anyone like to buy a teen ager? Female, very hormonal, and can we say EXPENSIVE! Try outs are next week for Cheer leading. We know she is going to make the team, and that they want to go to a competition in Florida this year. Anyone want to go to the Gator bowl this year? I think it is going to be a lot of fun! Steph isn't going to travel without me... though this means that I need to start saving my duckets!
One way to help with that is to ensure that there is lots of fund raising being done for the cheer squad... How do you do that? Well, let me tell you... I volunteered to be the fund raising coordinator for the cheer parent club... which, by the way, I am also the Secretary and treasurer of this club as well! So starting in 10 days, we are going to hit a huge rash of fund raising! Seriously, a ton! So if anyone needs any Pampered Chef, Tulip Bulbs, Tupperware, Cookie Lee, Car Wash, Entertainment books, Butter braids, Salley foster, or a Christmas Tree, please don't hesitate to let me know. Though I have to say, the Tulips are georgeous, and Shari... you need to buy about 50 of the orange ones to put a big O in your front yard! You should be seeing the flyer soon.
Then there is the Brunch/Auction... donations gladly accepted for auction baskets. And if you know anyone who may want to attend, please send them my way.
Since Tumbling is a major thing in cheer, Stephanie has been taking private lessons on top of her normal cheer schedule. She now has her sister, Teresa, and almost sister Hayley tumbling with her... Hayley would be such a good flyer! She is so tiny. But the two younger both swear they hate cheer! Who knows.
Teresa still loves her horses. I am sure she will be spending a lot of time at the barn as the weather is getting nicer.
My Pampered Chef business is still moving forward. I have lost a few team members, and need to grow my team some more, but that takes time and focus... any one have any of that to spare? Just thought I would ask.
I will try to keep this up, though I can't promise anything... but I think this is a great way to keep in touch.
