Keeping in touch

Something I have been really bad about lately is keeping in touch. I am so stinking busy with not being able to say no, that I tend to lose touch with the important things... like my friends!

Thank you Tami for being such a good communicator, if it weren't for you, I think you would just be a memory from five years ago... and I am super glad that isn't reality!

So here is a quick run down of what has been going on...

I am entering my busy time at work, and I am having a real bad attitude of not wanting to be in my office, ever! So I am finding all sorts of reasons to not go in... I have been working at home the last two days, and I Have gotten SO MUCH work done. I wish I could do it more often, but I think that I will be strapped to my desk for the next six weeks. My favorite time of year (Eyes are rolling!) End of year file processes include lots of QC... the good thing is, I get to be super ANAL and I am getting paid to do it! That really is a good thing.

My husband and I are finally coming to an understanding of each other... He realizes that I am super anal, and he gets a kick out of it. We went to the grocery store tonight, and he started to help me unload the groceries, and I started to correct him on how he was unloading it... he said he was going to stop helping me, and let me be as anal as I wanted... then he and the clerk started laughing at me. They got quite a kick out of my need for everything to be just so! Andy asked if he should just back off and let me bag everything too... Yes please! and thank you for accepting that I am just that weird... But the cans and boxes have to go at the front of the belt so that I can build bases at the bottom of the bags! Then you add the floppy things, like noodles and bagged cereal. And of course, not all of the gallons of milk need to go on the belt, only one, and tell him how many you are buying. Then there is the fact that the bread has to go at the end... which the clerk agreed with Andy on and he told me that he was so good that even if the bread was the first thing on the belt, he wouldn't squish it... but now, I am totally busting up. When you are as weird and picky as me, you have to learn to laugh at yourself, really! And it is ok, I am glad that I was able to entertain them for a while.

So Child number one got her cell phone taken away today, because she has personally used aver 1000 minutes this month. Would anyone like to buy a teen ager? Female, very hormonal, and can we say EXPENSIVE! Try outs are next week for Cheer leading. We know she is going to make the team, and that they want to go to a competition in Florida this year. Anyone want to go to the Gator bowl this year? I think it is going to be a lot of fun! Steph isn't going to travel without me... though this means that I need to start saving my duckets!

One way to help with that is to ensure that there is lots of fund raising being done for the cheer squad... How do you do that? Well, let me tell you... I volunteered to be the fund raising coordinator for the cheer parent club... which, by the way, I am also the Secretary and treasurer of this club as well! So starting in 10 days, we are going to hit a huge rash of fund raising! Seriously, a ton! So if anyone needs any Pampered Chef, Tulip Bulbs, Tupperware, Cookie Lee, Car Wash, Entertainment books, Butter braids, Salley foster, or a Christmas Tree, please don't hesitate to let me know. Though I have to say, the Tulips are georgeous, and Shari... you need to buy about 50 of the orange ones to put a big O in your front yard! You should be seeing the flyer soon.

Then there is the Brunch/Auction... donations gladly accepted for auction baskets. And if you know anyone who may want to attend, please send them my way.

Since Tumbling is a major thing in cheer, Stephanie has been taking private lessons on top of her normal cheer schedule. She now has her sister, Teresa, and almost sister Hayley tumbling with her... Hayley would be such a good flyer! She is so tiny. But the two younger both swear they hate cheer! Who knows.

Teresa still loves her horses. I am sure she will be spending a lot of time at the barn as the weather is getting nicer.

My Pampered Chef business is still moving forward. I have lost a few team members, and need to grow my team some more, but that takes time and focus... any one have any of that to spare? Just thought I would ask.

I will try to keep this up, though I can't promise anything... but I think this is a great way to keep in touch.

I think it is an absolute shocking act for you to start a blog...but I'm SOOOOOOO glad you have! I freakin' love it; it saves you the time of having to tell the same story 150 times to 150 people! WOO HOO for efficiency!

I wish I lived near Shari, I'd buy a bunch of yellow tulips and make a big 'o' and then we'd see who's boss! HAHAHAHAHA!

That cat will NEVER get near anything but my foot...and only because that is scary to him when it moves towards him.

You should really consider declawing him....and remove the horns from his head. :)
